Ribadeo is a true gastronomic paradise. If you love good food (and who doesn’t?), this charming Galician town is filled with restaurants and bars offering the best of local cuisine. None of the places I’ve visited have left me disappointed. Here are my favourites, to make sure your experience in Ribadeo is unforgettable.

Bar Queimada
This tapas bar is my favourite. In my opinion, they serve the best octopus in Ribadeo here. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy an incredible portion of octopus, Bar Queimada is a must. Try it, and let me know what you think!
La Solana
If you love seafood and meat, La Solana is the place for you. Located right by the port, this restaurant offers fresh and delicious dishes at reasonable prices, making it a fantastic option for those who appreciate good food without the fuss.

Náutico
Another favourite by the port. Whether it’s for a full meal or enjoying a cocktail while the sea breeze caresses your face, Náutico offers an unparalleled experience with its ocean views and fresh dishes that will have you coming back.
A Horta de San Roque
This spot is perfect for relaxing on its expansive terrace during summer. With a variety of dishes to suit all tastes, A Horta de San Roque is my top choice for enjoying a meal outdoors.

Villaronta
Villaronta is a haven for octopus lovers. Here, you can enjoy sharing portions and tapas with good wine. Best of all: you can eat at any time of the day. But be warned, there’s often a queue... because it’s that good!
El Oviedo
Located next to my apartment, El Oviedo has become one of my favourites due to the quality of its food. It’s a bit more refined than the other places on this list, and they always surprise you with dishes full of flavour and fascinating stories about the ingredients and wines.

Javier Montero
If you want to treat yourself to a culinary luxury in Ribadeo, Javier Montero’s restaurant is the best choice. With his tasting menu, you’ll embark on an unforgettable gastronomic experience. Every dish is crafted with care and attention to detail.
O Lar de Manolo
O Lar de Manolo is the perfect place to enjoy rich, unpretentious homemade food. If you’re after a well-prepared and flavourful dish, this restaurant is the ideal choice.

El Rincón del Gordo
A place that’s always busy, and for good reason! The food is delicious, the menus are affordable, and the beer is always fresh. If you manage to find a seat, you’ve won the gastronomic lottery.
Rinlo
If you have time for a culinary excursion, I highly recommend visiting Rinlo, a small village just 7 km from Ribadeo. The restaurants La Cofradía and La Mirandilla offer unforgettable dishes, especially the lobster broth rice.
Breakfast
For breakfast, you absolutely must try churros at Delicias, A Mareta, or Linares. My personal favourite is Linares: their churros with chocolate are simply irresistible.
